ASSESSMENTS:

Individual Assessment – Individual Research Based Essay Practice

*Each student will read and analyze a teacher given stimulus source packet, identify thematic connections among them and possible areas of inquiry. (S)He will then compose a research questions of his/her own; conduct research; analyze ; evaluate, and select evidence to develop an argument; and present and defend their conclusion. The final paper must incorporate at least one of the provided sources. This will be graded using the IWA rubric. *IWA Practice*

I am a high school English teacher, who loves to write and read, color, doodle, procrastinate, work out, yoga, lift weights, coach volleyball, and push myself beyond my limits. My daily life is about my career and education; as a lifelong learner and now, a lifelong educator in a high school environment, I believe that it's crucial to continue to learn about new ideas, delve deeper into the meaning of written works, and write truths. As a volleyball coach, I find that being a role model, learning from my players, and guiding my teams in all aspects of life and skills is vital to helping them have a prosperous future. It's not always about the win, but rather about the journey to the finish line that truly matters.
